This EZDown is for the VW Amarok with the Factory Fitted Torsion Bar. (2012 - 2022).  Works in conjunction with Factory torsion bar as the torsion bar makes the tailgate lighter to manually lift and the EZDown controls the opening of the tailgate.     The best and simplest addition to the ute which polishes off the tailgate functionality along with the torsion bar lift. I don't know why they don;t just make it damped from the factory like the Tundra.

    Service great but only installed one week so to early to say. I would recommend though for all ute tailgates.

    Absolutely 100% worth the money! Not only does it look seriously cool having the tailgate lower itself, but it's saved my tailgate a few times and my kid's heads when they normally open it up! Highly recommended! Should come standard!

    Fitting is really easy, and the result is awesome! Really gives the Amarok a touch of class to see the tailgate lower by itself, nice and slowly!

    A Must Have for Any Ute Owner!

    I purchased the EZDown for my Amarok as my Kid's love to open the tailgate and it would easily knock them out if they couldn't hold it or standing too close. The EZDown has saved my tailgate many times, and delivery was VERY fast! The service from the EZDown Sales team has been nothing short of excellent! Installed in 10 minutes!

    The Product is absolutely worth it for any Ute Owner! Simple to fit, incredibly well engineered and best of it, it works! This product is not only a luxury, but a great safety addition and helps to eliminate damage to the tailgate, hinge mechanism, or even knocking someone out! I'd give it 6 Stars if I could!
