ZDown Tailgate Assist Kit – Volkswagen Amarok (2010–2022)

Make your Volkswagen Amarok tailgate safer, smoother and easier to use with the EZDown Tailgate Assist Kit, designed specifically for the Volkswagen Amarok (2010–2022).

The EZDown Tailgate Assist controls the opening of your Amarok tailgate, preventing the heavy tailgate from dropping suddenly under its own weight. Instead, the tailgate lowers smoothly and in a controlled motion – making everyday access to your ute tub easier and more convenient.

Tailgate Assist Designed for the Volkswagen Amarok

Whether your Amarok is a hardworking ute, tow vehicle, touring 4WD or everyday driver, the tailgate is one of the most frequently used parts of the vehicle.

EZDown adds controlled damping to the tailgate, helping reduce the sudden drop and impact associated with opening an unsupported ute tailgate.

Release the handle and let EZDown do the rest.

Why Fit an EZDown Volkswagen Amarok Tailgate Assist?

• Controlled tailgate opening – helps prevent the Amarok tailgate from dropping suddenly.
• Safer and easier operation – particularly useful when loading or unloading with your hands full.
• Vehicle-specific fitment – designed for the 2010–2022 Volkswagen Amarok.
• Clean installation – engineered to integrate neatly with the vehicle.
• Everyday convenience – ideal for work utes, family vehicles, towing and touring setups.
• Proven EZDown design – purpose-built to provide smooth, controlled tailgate operation.

A Practical Upgrade for Your Amarok

The original Volkswagen Amarok built a loyal following by combining serious ute capability with the comfort and refinement Volkswagen owners expect.

EZDown makes one of the most frequently used parts of your Amarok even easier to live with.

Instead of having to support the weight of the tailgate every time you open it, the EZDown Volkswagen Amarok Tailgate Assist Kit controls its descent for a smoother and more refined opening action.

Whether you're loading tools, camping equipment, recovery gear or everyday cargo, it's a simple upgrade you'll appreciate every time you access the tub.
